AM2 Convention to Screen "Phoenix Wright" Live-Action Film

Two screenings planned during convention as exclusive event

For those of you looking for a chance to see the live-action Phoenix Wright film in the US, fast-growing convention AM2 may be your best bet to see it this year, as it has announced that it will exclusively screen the film during the convention being held from June 15th-17th at the Anaheim Convention Center with two screenings planned.

Based primarily on the first game in the series, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the film will be a courtroom drama combined with the video game series' signature style. Sci-fi elements are also used such as characters bringing up holographic images of evidence during trials, making the film a near faithful adaptation of the game.

The film had its world premiere ahead of its Japanese release this month during the Intenational Film Festival of Rotterdam in late January to both critical and fan acclaim, so much so that it was one of the most popular films screened at the festival. Director Takahashi Miike also confirmed plans to screen the film in multiple regions after its premiere, and this latest announcement serves to confirm those plans.
