In their latest poll, Japanese site MyNavi asked fans what group of anime characters they'd be thrilled to see turn up at their co-ed mixer.

Male respondents' top 5 picks included:

1. K-on's Light Music Club - 23.7%

2. Sailor Moon's Sailor Senshi - 17.3%

3. One Piece's Straw Hat Pirates - 16.3%

4. Ichigo 100%'s Film Studies Club - 10.4%

5. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's SOS Brigade - 10.1%

Female respondents' top 5 picks included:

1. Boys Over Flowers' F4 - 43.2%

2. Ouran High School Host Club's Host Club - 17.6%

3. Nodame Cantabile's S-Orchestra -10.3%

I would not put K-On's Light Music club and the Sailor Senshi at the top of my list of groups to hang out with... The Straw Hat pirates sound like that would be fun though.

Straw Hats for sure...

I got bored with K-ON about halfway through the show so that group of people certainly wouldn't make the top of my list... However besides the straw hats... Maybe the college years of the girls from Azumanga Daioh or Nichijou...

Oh and the number one answer for me that I totally forgot about... the cast of Gintama... if people like them existed in our world I would be able to understand actually wanting to fight off alien invaders...

An interesting question for sure. I'd probably go with the Straw Hats. Fun guys, sexy girls, and the series has proven that group is great at parties XD.

Other nice options might be Astral (Rental Magica) or Ministry of Spirit Affairs (Otome Yokai Zakuro). Some good mixed groups.
