VIDEO: "Retro City Rampage" Goes Back in Time This May

Throwback downloadable headed to PS3, Vita, PC, WiiWare, and XBLA

It seems like it's been ages since Retro City Rampage—VBlank Entertainment's Grand Theft Auto meets NES overhead action game—was first announced, but it looks like it's finally coming out in May. Better yet, it's now headed to more platforms. Initially announced for Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare, it will also be available on PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and Steam.

Even in the brief trailer released today, you're likely to spot countless references to classic Nintendo games, movies, and more. Check it out and jam along to the awesome soundtrack—featuring chiptune artists like Norrin Radd and Jake "Virt" Kaufman (Contra 4, Bloodrayne: Betrayal)—below.

Retro City Rampage is already up for pre-order on Steam for $14.99. Doing so will net you a Steam key for the game when it arrives sometime in May, a soundtrack sampler, a digital manual, and 25% off Fangamer's RCR shirts, posters and pins.
