"Final Fantasy XIII-2" Collaboration with "Mass Effect" On the Way?

No, this does not mean that you will get a creepy uncanny-valley love scene in FFXIII-2

It's somewhat common knowledge by now that the visual style of BioWare's bestselling RPG trilogy Mass Effect was inspired by Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. It looks like both franchises may be put together again, as gaming news site Siliconera has reported from an anonymous source that Mass Effect-inspired content will be available in Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Seeing as how you can dress up as Assassin's Creed hero Ezio Auditore in addition to other unique outfits, this isn't too far-fetched. I personally wouldn't mind some N7 armor for Serah and Noel, or--even better and far less likely--Garrus Vakarian in the Arena. What do think will come of this?

I hope not, Mass Effect is too good a franchise.
yay for blind fanboy comments!
Next time try explaining why you don't agree with someones opinion instead of just accusing them of being a fanboy like a child.
He could say the same to you, you know.
Oh, I'm sorry. I can totally relate, Libara. I wasn't aware that this collaboration was mandatory. Trololololol.
I like my western RPGs to stay western, and my eastern RPGs to stay in japan.
too good for final fantasy?
lolz... final fanatasy series has way too much history and success for a newbie mass effect series; respect the older franchises makes it look ilke your a child
Final Fantasy is an amazing franchise, it just has taken a downturn with XII-XIV.
I would agree except I think the downturn started at X and they've just slowly spun down the hole since.
totally agree with you.
Would be sweet if there is going to be some coliseum fights.
More collabs the better, means companies are communicating which usually means more stuff for the users :D
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
That's right..spread the Turian love..If they had Garrus in FF I may even play the game. This is awesome!
I get less excited by Squeenix games every time they release one.
Maiden_aya, love your avi. Katherine for the win!
just a shame ff 13 2 was never released on the wii if ity had been you could have gotten more iconic nintendo costumes
It wasn't released on the Wii for a good reason.
If they make Garrus playable in the next iteration of the series I might actually buy FF again.
bioware's senior write quit wounder if it was before or after the story for mass effect 3
I wounder as well... I seriously wounder.
This is obviously a publicity student to boost ME3 sales, since ME never really sold all that well. Especially in Japan where it tanked.

Maybe one day Mass Effect could be as good as JRPGs?

Bioware needs to fix it's TORtanic problem first, though
I don't really get why sales were never that great, it was a good game.
Though personally, I think this helps out XIII-2 as well.
I'm not sure I want it, as XIII wasn't what I've come to expect of the Final Fantasy franchise.
Maybe one day JRPGs will be as good as JRPGs used to be. I miss the days of 200+ hours being put into a game not because I had to but because I wanted to.
-You realize that Mass effect series had a platinum release right? Meaning it was so popular it had a re-release.
-It's won Game of the year just saying

It may be true that it wasn't popular in Japan, but in the USA it's basically the king. There's a reason Bioware is a very prominent game studio now and made an extremely good game to TRY and rival WoW.

Sure it doesn't have a ridiculous list of sequels and rich history like Final Fantasy but it did sell extremely well.

Dragon Age 2....well that is another story lol
Lol "as good as JRPGs?", don't know what your talking about because most of today's JRPGs are garbage.
Sales were never that great? Umm, Mass Effect is one of 360's best selling franchises. What are you smoking?
Garrus is too busy with calibrations to comment.
Those aren't fanboy opinions... it just happens that the British are incapable of carrying a conversation without trying to make any other points but their own seem like bullshit.
