Quite a few mysteries surrounding Assassin's Creed III were already unraveled prior to Ubisoft saying anything official, but all the screenshots and box art floating around can't match up to a solid reveal trailer. Watch as the hooded assassin fights his way through the Revolutionary War below.
ACIII's protagonist is a man of Native American and English heritage named Ratohnhaké:ton, but he also goes by the name Connor. According to Ubisoft, the game spans the Revolutionary War, "taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington's Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army."
The trailer was originally unveiled earlier today live on IGN, during which they also pointed out that the wilderness would play a big part in this chapter of the time-traversing saga. Assassin's Creed III is set for an October 30 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, and will also be making its way to Wii U.
More info to come in the April issue of Game Informer magazine.
