In addition to the browser-based Madoka Magica Online, the magical girl series will also be coming to the PSP this spring in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable. The game will have adventure game elements as welll as a "roguelike" dungeon crawl that involves the anime's characters progressing through a labyrinth and alternating movements or attacks with adversaries.
Gen Urobuchi is supervising the game's scenario, which features opportunities to branch from the original anime's storyline. It will be released by Bandai Namco on March 15.
The game will be released in the "Regular Contract Pack" edition for 6,480 yen and the "Limited Contract Box" for 11,900 yen. The limited edition includes a copy of the game, a figma of Madoka in her school uniform, a blu-ray with special media, a Kyubei shaped pouch, HomuHomu handkerchief (from "that" scene), a special clear card, and a box illustrated by SHAFT. The limited edition production run will be limited to the number of orders received.
The regular edition includes the game and a DVD with the same contents as the Blu-ray. The pre-order bonus is a film strip of the newly created transformation scenes for the game and a custom PSP theme code.
