Indie Game "Fez" Hits XBLA on April 13

Phil Fish's much anticipated platformer finally gets dated

It's been a long and winding road for Phil Fish's Fez, which has been in development since 2007. Regardless of how you feel about the developer's GDC comments on Japanese games, there's a lot of hard work behind the downloadable perspective-switching platformer, and we'll finally find out if it delivers on April 13.

As Fish puts it, Fez is "a 2D platformer set in a 3D world," and despite the long wait, the game has already received its share of accolades, including multiple Independent Game Festival awards.

If you still feel in the dark about what Fez is all about, here's a trailer:

Fez will run you 800 MS Points ($10) when it drops on the super lucky date of Friday, April 13. You can find out more about Fez by heading over to Polytron's website, so long as the flashing release date announcement doesn't send you into a seizure.
