Viz Licenses "Berserk" Film Trilogy
License to ongoing film adaptation of Berserk manga announced during Sakura-Con
During its panel at Sakura-Con this weekend opposite Funimation's panel at Anime Boston, Viz Media announced the acquisition of the Berserk film trilogy for future release on home video.
The first film will be released this Fall and as Viz Media currently has a working relationship with Warner Bros. Japan, the likelihood of the license going to the distributor was higher than average. The second film in the series will be released in June in Japan. Further details are expected at a later date.
