Sentai Filmworks Confirms DVD/Blu-Ray Release for "Kids on the Slope"

Confirmation of home video release formats follows announcement at Anime Boston

Following its initial announcement at Anime Boston, Sentai Filmworks has confirmed that the noitaminA series Kids on the Slope will be getting a DVD and Blu-Ray release later this year. The series is currently being streamed on Crunchyroll under a month-long exclusivity window before being offered on multiple digital formats. The confirmation of a Blu-Ray release also leads to the possibility of the series receiving an English dub, though nothing specific has been confirmed on that front at this time

 

Kids on the Slope

 

The adaptation of the manga authored by Yuki Kodama reunites key staff from Cowboy Bebop, with music composition being handled by Yoko Kanno.

 

Synopsis:

It’s the summer of 1966 and high school freshman Kaoru Nishimi is struggling to adjust to the latest of many moves in his young life, this time to his uncle’s home in the seaside town of Kyushu.  It’s never easy adjusting.  It’s never easy fitting in.
