X JAPAN wins “Best International Band” at ‘Golden Gods Award 2012′

X JAPAN is first band to be honored by Revolver magazine award

This week, rock band X JAPAN was recongized with the “Best International Band” award at the music festival, ‘Golden Gods Award 2012‘, in Los Angeles, California. Not the Golden Globes, that might be a conflict of interest considering that they composed the Golden Globes' theme this year. The Golden God Award, established by music magazine Revolver in 2009.

 

X JAPAN is the first Asian band to recieve the award.  Other nominees included Rammstein from Germany, LacunaCoil from Italy, and Sepultura from Brazil.


During the awards ceremony, leader Yoshiki thanked their fans saying, “Thank you. Thank you for acknowledging us.” He continued, “Right now, we are finishing up our first worldwide debut album. We are planning on doing another world tour. And also to our beloved fans, thank you so much for your support. We are going to keep on rocking. We love you!"
