"Dragon's Dogma" Demo Hits XBL, PSN Next Week

Test out Capcom's open-world action RPG on April 24

One of Dragon's Dogma's selling points when it hits in May is the Resident Evil 6 demo that's coming along with it, but Capcom isn't afraid to let us try its open-world action RPG in advance, too. Today Capcom confirmed the Dragon's Dogma demo for next Tuesday, April 24 on XBLA and PSN.

The demo will offer the opportunity to try out two of the classes, the Fighter and the Strider, along with a party of three Pawns. You can also test out the character creation tools to customize your look, just like in the full game. The Fighter mission takes you underground on the way to a showdown with the Chimera, and the Strider mission pits you against the Griffin in open plains.

Capcom previously confirmed the demo to be on the way, but didn't have a concrete date. If you like what you play, Dragon's Dogma hits North American shelves for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 22. A European release follows closely behind on May 25.
