"GTO" Creator Tohru Fujisawa Plans New Manga
Foodie manga to kick off in May
Great Teacher Onizuka creator Tohru Fujisawa has announced a new foodie manga, to launch next month in Manga Action, a seinen anthology that runs manga like Tomohiro Koizumi's zombie STD manga Life is Dead.
Fujisawa's recent work includes 2011's two-volume forensic investigation crime manga Soul Messenger, and the new Ino Atama Gargoyle, a GTO spin-off following Onizuka's corrupt cop friend Saejima Toshiyuki.
Vertical Inc. has recently begun publishing GTO sequel 14 Days in Shonan, as well as the prequel Shonan Junai-gumi in North America.
