Publisher XSEED Games announced a couple of new PlayStation Vita titles for North America at an event last night. Looks like we'll all get a chance to check out both Ragnarok Odyssey and Orgarhythm sometime in 2012.
Ragnarok Odyssey is a Monster Hunter-esque multiplayer game developed by Game Arts, sporting "action-heavy" melee combat. Features such as online play and bonus missions were added to the title post-launch in Japan.
In a truly bizarre combination of disparate elements, Orgarhythm is a mix of rhythm game and strategy, and puts the player in the role of a god who commands different tribes. It comes from Acquire and Tak Hirai, who was lead programmer on Shenmue and Space Channel 5 Part 2.
If you missed it last month, we posted a live-action promo with a dash of gameplay footage for Orgarhythm. It was more or less assumed at the time that XSEED would be bringing it stateside since they share the copyright with Acquire, but it's nice to get confirmation!
