Manga Luminaries Auction Tezuka-Inspired Sketches for Quake Charity

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Keisuke Itagaki, Risa Itou, Nobuyuki Fukumoto, and more

Rieko Saibara (Kaasan - Mom's Life) is the organizer of a series of conference discussion/sketching challenges with manga greats that she appropriately calls "Rieko Saibara's Manga Artist showdown." After hosting Gundam designer/manga artist Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and other luminaries in April, the mega-Showdown has spawned a series of sketch charity auctions.

After auctioning Gundam-inspired works in mid April and sketches from their own works in early May, the artists are auctioning off drawings inspired by the legendary works of Osamu Tezuka. Auctions run through the 17th, with the proceeds going to quake relief and rebuilding non-profit organizations.
