Prominent voice actresses Masako Nozawa (Goku in Dragon Ball, Gohan in Dragon Ball Z) and Megumi Hayashibara (Evangelion's Rei, Cowboy Bebop's Faye), along with actor Kin'ya Kitaōji (hosts of period movies, Yakuza Papers) have been cast in Keiichi Satou's (Tiger & Bunny) adaptation of George Akiyama's dark 1970-1971 manga Ashura.
