JAM Project Latin America Tour Planned in July

Anison super group will rock Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile

JAM Project, the Japanese anison (anime songs) super group of five popular singers, announced on May 14 that the group will present concerts in four countries of Latin America in July this year. "JAM Project Latin America LIVE TOUR 2012" will kick off July 15 in Brazil, then travel to Peru on July 18, Argentina on July 21, and Chile on July 22. The cities and places for the concerts in each countries will be announced later. JAM Project played in São Paulo, Brazil on July 20, 2008 for an anime convention Anime Friends, but it will be the first time for them to perform in other three Latin America countries.

 

JAM Project was formed in 2000 by top-ranking anime song vocalists in order to create music to encourage Japanese animation. The group has released more than 100 anime, game, and tokusatsu theme songs. The current five members are:

 

Hironobu Kageyama (Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya)

Masaaki Endoh (The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger)

Hiroshi Kitadani (ONE PIECE)

Masami Okui (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Slayers)

Yoshiki Fukuyama (Macross 7, Overman King Gainer)
