Director Comments On Status of Hollywood "Godzilla" Remake

Director of indie roadtrip/kaiji movie "Monsters" talks about his big budget "Godzilla" project

There's been no news out of Hollywood's new Godzilla remake since last November, when relative newcomer Max Borenstein took over script writing duties from David S. Goyer (BladeThe Dark Knight). Least you think the project has been banished to Monster Island, helmer Gareth Edwards, director of the indie kaiju pick Monsters, commented on Godzilla's status.

At the Kapow! Comic Convention in London, Edwards said

"It's going great and I'm genuinely excited about it. We're just working really hard with Legendary, who have been fantastic. Thomas Tull has just been an absolute pleasure and nothing like the experience they warn you about when you go to Hollywood. I can't say much other than I hope that we'll have some proper news soon. So you won't have to wait too long at all."
