VIDEO: Shinji Aramaki's "Starship Troopers: Invasion" Anime Previewed
"Appleseed" director continues mech versus bugs sic-fi franchise
Movie Walker and the Japanese site for Starship Troopers: Invasion have posted a new preview of Shinji Aramaki's (Appleseed) anime sequel to the sci-fi franchise based on Robert Heinlein's militaristic mecha versus bug aliens novel.
Flint Dille (Transformers, An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay) scripted the movie with Joseph Chou (Appleseed Ex Machina) producing. Sony's plan is to release it this summer.
