"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate" Announced for 3DS

While this isn't the May 31st reveal that was teased late last week, Konami has announced a new Castlevania title--this time for the 3DS.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate stars Trevor Belmont and his version of the Combat Cross, using a combo-heavy battle system that sounds a lot like the PS3/360 Lords of Shadow. So far, all screenshots point to the game using 2.5D gameplay, and appears to be more of a fast-paced actioner like the original Castlevanias instead of the Metroid-alikes we've been getting since Symphony of the Night.
That's actually kind of disappointing to me--I remember a time when Portrait of Ruin stayed in my DS for like six months straight and it was more or less the only video game I played, so I was hoping for that kind of experience this time around. Who knows, though--Konami hasn't shown much about the game, so future reveals may have some surprises in store.
