Following last week's teases, the identity of Nippon Ichi's mystery PS Vita title—part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration—has been revealed in this week's Dengeki magazine. Tokushu Houdoubu (Special Report Division) is set to put a television reporting twist on the adventure genre in Japan this August.
While "adventure" conjures up a certain image, Nippon Ichi says Tokushu Houdoubu isn't like your average text adventure game. The theme revolves around television reporting, and will include systems that throw players into an authentic TV production experience, made more so thanks to cooperation from an actual Nagoya television studio.
Hiro Kiyohara (artist on the Another manga, as well as production cooperation on the anime) is providing character designs. While there's not much more concrete information of note available at the moment, Tokushu Houdoubu is scheduled to hit PlayStation Vita in Japan on August 23, both as a ¥6,090 (~ $76) retail release and a ¥5,000 (~ $63) download.
