New Toonami Anime Did "OKAY," Rankings Up Among Young Adults

"Deadman Wonderland," "Casshern Sins" #1 in time slot in certain YA demographics

According to TV By The Numbers, Adult Swim's two new anime premieres, Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins, both ranked #1 in their time periods among certain young adult demographics. While the rankings were up, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim's vice president of strategic marketing and promotions (and former Toonami producer), Jason DeMarco, hopped on Twitter to say the performance was just "OKAY."

Breaking it down: Deadman Wonderland, which aired at 12:30 am, was #1 in its period among adults 18-24 (up 14% from that time last year), men 18-34, and men 18-24 (a 2% increase). Casshern Sins' 1:00 am debut also ranked #1 among men 18-34 and 18-24.

It should be interesting to see how the Toonami block and its new shows perform in the coming weeks. Who here tuned in last Saturday? Who plans to keep watching the block?
