Kadokawa Shoten's Ace family of manga anthologies (Shonen Ace, Young Ace, Gundam Ace, Macross Ace, Kerokero Ace) is being joined by new period dedicated magazine Samurai Ace. Some big names in the field are on board, including Lone Wolf and Cub writer Kazuo Koike and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, animator and manga artist especially known for his character design work on Mobile Suit Gundam.
Koike is working with notable history illustrator/manga artist Natsuki Sumeragi on a new Yume Genji Tsurugi no Saimon story.
Yasuhiko is doing a story about 4th century royal hero Yamato Takeru.
Chevalier d'Eon/Mardock Scramble's Tow Ubukata is signed up for a Mito Kōmon story.
The first issue goes on sale June 26th.
