"Cheerful Japan!" Charity Project Collects 239,404,356 yen

Approximately US$3,063,000 by the one-year project

Good Smile Company announced that their "Cheerful Japan!" charity project has collected 239,404,356 yen (approximately US$3,063,000) as of May 31, 2012. "Cheerful Japan!" is a collaboration project between them and other figure makers to support the Northern Japan area where heavily damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011. At first Good Smile Company started selling Nendoroid Miku Hatsune: Support ver. in the hopes of raising money for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 24, two weeks after the earthquake attacked Japan. Supported by many other companies, the charity project has successfully continued more than a year.

 

The money will be donated to:


Japan Red Cross   74,465,000 yen

Miyagi Prefecture   42,939,908 yen

Aomori Prefecture   8,246,968 yen

Iwate Prefecture   41,234,839 yen

Fukushima Prefecture   41,234,839 yen

Ibaragi Prefecture   24,740,903 yen

Chiba Prefecture   6,541,899 yen
