First, stating the obvious: no, Resident Evil 6 is not a survival-horror game. Like Capcom said earlier this year, they're moving in a more action-oriented direction for the console installments, letting the portable installments carry the style of the original games.
Now back to the good part: Capcom showed off five minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Resident Evil 6, featuring series mainstay Leon S. Kennedy and new partner Elena fighting through the zombie- and BOW-infested streets of Lanshiang's urban center.
I think what I liked the most in this trailer was just how much close combat there was. I'll be happy to punch my way through Umbrella's hapless experiments and save my ammo for the big, freaky monstrosities that have like fourteen eyes in the wrong spots and bristle with teeth.
As expected, there will be add-on DLC for Resident Evil 6, but it will debut exclusively on the 360--no word yet on how long PS3 fans will have to wait, but it's all but guaranteed that they'll get a chance to check it out too.
What do you think about what we've seen so far with RE6?
