VIDEO: Trilingual "Blood Lad" Manga Promos - UPDATED

Japanese, French, and German promos for soon to anime-adapted horror comedy

While nothing has been announced or confirmed, industry chatter is that a North American publisher has picked up the rights to Yuuki Kodama's Blood Lad. Internationally, the series is becoming a bit of a phenomenon. An anticipated anime adaptation is on its way, and the popular manga is getting a simultaneous release in three countries.

From Baka Updates' description of the series:

Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He's more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion. However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life.

See how the native Japanese presentation compares to the promos for the French and German simul-releases.

Volume 6 was released today.

UPDATED - Yen Press actually recently announced that they had the license.
