VIDEO: Takashi Miike's 3D Samurai Film "Hara-Kiri" Gets North American Release
Remake debuts on iTunes July 17th, then hits theaters on the 20th
In the year that Takashi Miike made his critically acclaimed remake of Eiichi Kudo's 1963 13 Assassins, he also directed a 3D remake of Masaki Kobayashi's 1962 film Hara-Kiri. The latter is now scheduled to hit the North American iTunes store on July 17th, then open in theaters on the 20th. Get a look at the local trailer below.
Criterion has released the original Hara-Kiri in North America, while AnimEigo has released Assassins.
