It may not be the HD remake everyone is pining for, but more info has surfaced on the finalfantasyviipc.com domain that was recently registered to Square Enix under CEO Yoichi Wada's name. According to a Google Cache of the site, it looks like Final Fantasy VII is coming back to PC with a handful of updates.
Some of those updates include achievements, cloud saves, and a "Character Booster." Here's the page's description of the latter: "Find yourself stuck on a difficult section or lacking the funds to buy that vital Phoenix Down? With the Character Booster you can increase your HP, MP, and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button, leaving you to enjoy your adventure."
Square Enix hasn't officially announced the latest PC version—Final Fantasy VII first hit PC back in 1998—but the cached site has it listed as a digital download priced at £7.99 / €9.99 (about $12.50). Would you pick up this version of FFVII on PC, or would you rather wait for a more substantial upgrade?
