Sega celebrates 21 years with a whopper of a digital sale

Today marks the 21st birthday of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sega is celebrating in style. This week they kicked off a big sale on a bunch of downloadable Sonic games, so you can spend the day playing while the blue blur gets blackout blasted. 



Yep, Sonic the Hedgehog first blast-processed its way onto Sega Genesis on June 23, 1991. Here's the full sale list, from Sega's blog. A few of the deals have ended, but the PSN and Xbox Live Arcade sales are still going strong!



Happy birthday, Sonic! Now let's dig into some classics. Or we can just stare at the Dumb Running Sonic tumblr for a few hours. Actually, I think I'll sit in a nice leatherbound chair, smoke a pipe, and read this literary classic:
