Star Wars Jaina Solo ARTFX Bishoujo Statue

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! It’s been a long time coming, but Star Wars is now officially joining Kotobukiya’s lineup of Bishoujo (Japanese for “beautiful girl”) statues! Get ready to see the lovely ladies of all eras of the ultimate science-fiction powerhouse reimagined like never before. First up in the new Star Wars series is ace pilot/Jedi warrior/daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa, Jaina Solo! One of the most popular characters in the Expanded Universe, Jaina has appeared in numerous novels and comic books that take place after the events of Return of the Jedi and now comes to you in a fantastic Bishoujo statue based on an illustration by master Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita. A skilled pilot who became a member of the illustrious New Republic Rogue Squadron at the age of 18, Jaina Solo strikes a casual pose in her iconic orange flight suit, the same outfit worn by pilots for generations (including Luke Skywalker in the Battle of Yavin). But the pretty young Jedi puts her own spin on the uniform, wearing it stripped down to the waist to reveal her tank top. Meanwhile, Jaina holds her helmet in one hand and her flight vest and lightsaber in the other. Like all Bishoujo statues the cute Jedi has an incredible sculpt, with intricate outfit details like folds and straps. The highlight is of course Jaina’s beautiful bishoujo-inspired face! Standing 9 inches tall (1/7 scale) on a special display base incorporating the Rogue Squadron emblem. Not only is Jaina the first Star Wars ARTFX Bishoujo Statue, she’s also the first Extended Universe character brought to life by Kotobukiya. She looks great on her own, and she’ll make the perfect addition to any Star Wars or Bishoujo collection!

Available December 2012.

DC Comics Power Girl Bishoujo Statue

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Coming up next in the DC Comics Bishoujo Collection (combining the super heroines and super-villains of DC Comics with traditional Japanese stylings) is the mighty Kryptonian from Earth Two, POWER GIRL! First appearing in All Star Comics in 1976, Kara Zor-L was sent to Earth just like her cousin Kal, where she too became a caped super hero. Taking the alter ego Karen Starr, Power Girl fought crime and super-villains alongside the Justice Society of America, eventually crossing over to Earth-One. One of the most popular female characters in comics, Power Girl finally joins the exclusive ranks of the DC Comics Bishoujo super heroines based on an original interpretation by Shunya Yamashita.

Embodying both beauty and strength, Power Girl shows off her muscles while striking a pose. Power Girl wears her iconic white, red, and blue costume with all of the details you’ve come to know and love from the comics. Kotobukiya’s fine craftsmanship is apparent in the details of the super heroine’s costume and physique, as well as in the subtleties of the unseen breeze. Of course, no statue would be complete without a Bishoujo-inspired face, and Power Girl’s is not one to miss!

Standing nearly 9 inches tall (1/7 scale) on an exclusive display base, Power Girl was sculpted by Tsukada Takashi (GILL GILL). The powerful beauty is a striking addition to your collection, and she’s the perfect complement to other DC Comics Bishoujo statues like Supergirl, Batgirl, or the upcoming Huntress!
