Kobe-city, the capital city of Hyogo Prefecture, is now hosting Kobe Pop Culture Festival from July 14 to 16 in the Shin-Nagata district where is the most severely devastated areas by the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. The event offers various programs including cosplay masquerade, screenings of the anime films (Hetalia and Detective Conan), Ita-sha and anime figure exhibit, a debut performance by Kobe-based idol group KOBerrieS, and veteran voice actor Akira Kamiya's voice acting lesson. He is best known for his works for the voice of Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star), Ryo Saeba (City Hunter), and Kogoro Mori (Detective Conan).
