Giant "One Piece" Mermaid Washes Up in Tokyo

50-foot attraction built in Odaiba

Fuji TV organizes summer festivals in Tokyo's Odaiba (home of the full scale Gundam statues), and this year's theme is One Piece inspired "Shirahoshi Mermaid Park." From July 14-September, visitors can participate in various activities and attractions as well as get a good look at an even larger than life version of the nautical adventure's already giant Princess Shirahoshi.

While the manga's "cute but huge" Princess Shirahoshi is about eight times taller than a human or mermaid, the seated Odaiba Shirahoshi is over 50 feet tall.
