"Phantasy Star Online 2" Players in US and Europe will Share Servers

Now play nice, and stop asking all the German players to send you food and/or beer

Phantasy Star Online 2 is set for an international release, which means none of you will ever see me again it's time for fans to dust off their MAGs and get ready for another massive adventure!

With the game hitting Europe and the United States in 2013, PSO2 producer Satoshi Sakai mentioned in an interview that gamers in both locations will be sharing the same server--it makes sense, since Phantasy Star has a pretty small audience. Sakai also talked about how the in-depth character creator would possibly be getting some changes for overseas release, like adding darker skin tones and different facial characteristics.

I will finally be able to achieve my life's goal of playing a video game as Sho Nuff, Shogun of Harlem. Now I just need six volunteers to play his henchmen

Sakai was surprised at the overseas popularity of the game, and gave a few details about its development: the game was planned to be free-to-play from the beginning, and work started on Phantasy Star Online 2 in 2008, but there was debate on whether to title it Phantasy Star Online 2 or Phantasy Star Universe 2.

With Phantasy Star Online 2 confirmed for a US and EU release, will you be joining in the hunt? Assuming they keep the classes the same, will you be playing the same type of character you played in the original PSO?
