Kodansha's Dessert magazine recently announced that Kanae Hazuki's Suki-tte Ii na yo. (Say "I love you.") and Robico's Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (The Monster Seated Next to You) were slated to be adapted into anime. The latter is coming from Brain Base (Durarara!!) with Hiro Kaburaki (Kimi no Todoke) directing the Noboru Takagi (Baccano, Koi Kaze) written show.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (The Monster Seated Next to You) is slated to debut in October, with a special Tokyo preview event screening the first episode September 29th. This series centers on Shizuku Mizutani, a girl who only cares about her own grades. When she accidentally delivers lesson notes to Haru Yoshida—a boy who is repeatedly absent from class—he becomes convinced that they're friends.
