VIDEO: "Summon Night" Series Revived with PSP Ports and Sequel

Enhanced ports of 3 and 4 on the way, with a brand new game to follow

Flight Plan and Banpresto's Summon Night series of RPGs is coming back in a major way on PSP, with a pair of enhanced ports followed by a brand new game, Summon Night 5, all set to be published this year in Japan courtesy of Namco Bandai Games

Enhanced ports of Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4, originally released on PlayStation 2, are gunning for PSP in Japan on October 4 and November 15, respectively. The RPGs have been made more user friendly—with damage prediction and mid-battle quicksaves easing the pressure some—along with a handful of other enhancements, like new illustrations for Summon Night 3. Here's Namco Bandai's promotional video for that one.

And here's a quick teaser for the next game in the series, Summon Night 5. It doesn't show much of anything, but the brand new title will be released later on PSP, as well.
