"Lost Planet" Spin-Off "E.X. Troopers" Hits Japan on November 22

Third-person shooter heads to Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 3

We've been following Capcom's Lost Planet spin-off, E.X. Troopers, pretty closely, mostly because it looks really cool. We got an extended look at the third-person shootin' action recently, and now Japanese gaming mag Famitsu reports word of a November 22 release date in Japan.

E.X. Troopers will be slightly pricier on PlayStation 3 when it hits shelves for ¥6,990 ($90). The Nintendo 3DS version will be priced at ¥5,990 ($76). The game is directed by Resident Evil 5's Yasuhiro Anpo, with Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop) on the script. No word yet on a release outside of Japan.
