"Dragon Quest X" to Get Ten Years of Downloadable Content

Square Enix plans to keep the DLC coming for the Wii/Wii U MMO

Square Enix has a lot in store for Dragon Quest X players. The Massively multiplayer online RPG is out now in Japan, and if everything goes according to plan, it's going to be supported with ten years of DLC.

Square Enix told Nikkei that Dragon Quest X will be getting major "version up" patches every ten weeks, and they plan to generate downloadable content for around ten years. It's not clear what all of that DLC entails, but Square Enix previously mentioned a series of story quests for DQX.

Dragon Quest X is currently only out on Nintendo Wii in Japan, but a Wii U version is also planned. If things go according to plan, it looks like it'll be sticking around for quite some time.
