"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game" Adds Online Multiplayer

Late August update ties in nicely to color editions of original comic

It may seem odd for a two-year-old game to be getting such a substantial update, but nevertheless Ubisoft's wonderful, retro-styled Scott Pilgrim vs. The World beat 'em up is getting ready to add online multiplayer on August 19.

It may be late by game standards, but the timing is nice, as the first volume of the Scott Pilgrim color edition is set to hit stores tomorrow. If you haven't seen it, here's the cover, along with a peek at the interior from creator Bryan Lee O'Malley's tumblr

The multiplayer DLC will be priced at 400 MS Points/$5, and also includes a new character, Scott's roommate Wallace Wells. Not a bad deal, really, and the multiplayer is a feature that's been requested since the game was first released. Anyone plan on blowing virtual dust off their copy and firing up the sidescroller on August 19?
