"Monsuno" Gets Prime Japanese "Shonen Anime" Time Slot
The Wednesday 6:00 PM slot should garner good ratings.
Monsuno: World Master -- for the Japanese audience it's Juusen Battle Monosuno ("Beast Rotation-Battle Monsuno") -- is an American/Japanese coproduction that has already debuted on Nicktoons in the U.S.
In Japan it will be debuting in October on a major broadcast network in what is for Japanese TV, a prime slot of shonen anime. The Wednesday at 6:00 PM slot is perfect to pick up pre-teen and teenaged viewers, and it is the same type of weekday, early-evening time slot that, early in their runs, helped propel series like One Piece, Naruto and Fairy Tail to long-time success status.
Monsuno is slated to begin on October 3rd at 6:00 PM, broadcast by TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks.
