Sketchtravel was a unique international charity art project. Its red sketchbook was passed from one artist's hand to another like an Olympic torch in an artistic relay through 12 countries over 4 and half years - collecting contributions from the likes of Hayao Miyazaki, Katsuya Terada (Blood the Last Vampire), Taiyo Matsumoto (TekkonKinkreet) and animation legends/married couple Atsuko Fukushima and Koji Morimoto.
Asuka Shinsha has just published a reproduction of the volume in Japan for 3150 yen ($40), while Chronicle Books released it in North America on August 15th for about same price. The original will be auctioned in in Brussels, Belgium on October 17.
