In over 100 volumes, Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has changed leads, historical periods and genre, but for much of its cult run, it's been at least informed by the the feud between the Joestar family and the vampire Dio Brando. 


The upcoming anime adaptation will at least initially be handling Phantom Blood, the first generation/first five volumes of the manga.

Kazuyuki Okitsu voices Jonathan Joestar - the original JoJo - an honest, earnest ultra-good boy from a rich family in Victorian England. After his life is torn apart (dishonored, disinherited, dog killed), he learns the martial art Ripple to take on his enemies .

Takehito Koyasu voices Dio Brando - the dark force behind much of JoJo's evil. Jonathan's psychopath adopted brother, he turns himself into a vampire while plotting to steal the Joestar fortune.
