Growers Begin Taking Preorders for "One Piece" Branded Nami Oranges

Fruit advanced sales launch in time for premiere of One Piece Nami TV special

In time for this weekend's Japanese premiere of One Piece TV special, "Episode of Nami: Bonds and Friendship and Tears of the Navigator", citrus growers frpm Kumamoto Prefecture have begun taking preorders for One Piece branded premium oranges, inspired by the pirate anime character's back story. 

 

 

The extra sweet Nami's Mikan Premium hit supermarkets and department stores in October, but are advanced selling on a dedicated web site.

 

 

400g/5 packs go for 1,050yen - $13.35

1.2kg (10-15) go for 3,150 yen ($40)

2.5kg (30-32 oranges) go for 6,300 yen ($80)
