"Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops" Headed to GREE Mobile Platform

Worldwide release due out between this fall and winter

More news from the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event joined the announcement of the Metal Gear Hollywood film, and this time the focus is social gaming. The mobile GREE platform will be the home of the first social MG game, Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops

In Social Ops, players will be able to relive past Metal Gear Solid events, and use cards to form a battalion and do battle. Kojima Productions is in charge of planning, with GREE developing it internally with its Unity Engine.

Along with the formal announcement from GREE CEO Yoshikazu Tanaka came plans for a worldwide release sometime between this fall and winter. 4Gamer and Famitsu have more pics from the presentation, and we should get a look at the trailer shown at the event when it inevitably hits YouTube.
