Based on the popularity of the previous McFood stories we’ve run here before at Crunchy News, we know there’s some serious fast food junkies out there…ourselves definitely among them!
So we feel it is our honor-bound duty to present to you a trio of commercials heralding the arrival of three new McDonald’s items on sale now in Japan.
CONTEXT: The nation basically ground to a standstill when McDonald’s Japan introduced a trio of “Big America” burgers for a limited time last year and everyone stopped whatever they were doing to run out and try them. So now the hamburger clown is hedging its bets with a trio of “World of Mac” delights, complete with commericals containing respective cultural stereotypes...
Number one is LE GRAND, a French-themed burger (IT HAS BREAD, A TOMATO, AND SOME SAUCE) that we can only assume, based on this commercial, is made by a French guy with a big puffy hat in a bistro somewhere near the Champs-Élysées.
The second item is the GOLD MASALA, an exotic Indian fried chicken delight smothered in curry sauce available in hot or mild. Of the three, this is probably the one I’d want to knock back with a Coke and some Super-Sized Fries…
The third commercial, for the AUSSIE DELI (currently on sale, book your flights now) is probably the most intense of them all, presided over by a bushwhakcin’ Australian guy who is anxious to sell you on his decidedly unappetizing-looking beef pastrami WIIILLLD sandwich. Was “shrimp on the barbie” not available?
