Keiji Inafune's Yaiba had previously been teased, but this week's Tokyo Game Show reveals much more to the ninja vs. zombies action title. Now known as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, the game sees Inafune and his Comcept studio partnering with Team Ninja and Lost Planet 3 developer Spark Unlimited, kicking off a new Ninja Gaiden franchise.
Inafune, formerly of Capcom and now with his own studio, spoke enthusiastically about the project at a press event: "As you may know I'm a great zombie fan. When I left my previous company, my dream was to make a zombie game. I'm very happy to be making this game with Team Ninja. Just as much as I love zombies, I like samurai and ninjas. My dream was to always make a ninja game so this collaboration that I'm announcing is almost a dream come true."
Check out the first trailer for Yaiba, which features a new main character (Yaiba) in pursuit of Ninja Gaiden lead Ryu Hayabusa.
I'm guessing this answer's yesterday's question? It's currently not clear which platforms Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is destined for.
