While it is disappointingly Toonami-free, Cartoon Network watchers should get a heavy hit of nostalgia from a new animated music video commissioned to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the network. It airs at the conclusion of the birthday celebrations, but can already be seen online below.



At 6:58 p.m. ET/PT, On October 1, 2012 Cartoon Network will conclude its birthday-themed programming with the world television premiere of a sweeping, nostalgia inducing original music video commissioned to celebrate the network's 20 years of animated entertainment. Featuring original music by the highly regarded artist collaborative Mad Decent (M.I.A., Major Lazer, Beyoncé, No Doubt and Usher) and original animation by London-based design shop ILOVEDUST, this two-minute music video spotlights nearly 100 cartoon character all-stars who've contributed to Cartoon Network's remarkable legacy.
