"Iron Man" Returns to Anime with New Madhouse Produced Feature

"Iron Man: Rise of Technovore" gunning for 2013 home video release

If you enjoyed Marvel and Madhouse's previous anime collaborations, get ready for more from the Ninja Scroll studio. Iron Man: Rise of Technovore)—a new full-length feature directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki (Texhnolyze, Shigurui: Death Frenzy—is gunning for a home video release next year.

The story of Technovore pits Tony Stark against Ezekial Stane, son of Obadiah Stane, a character previously featured in Matt Fraction's run on Iron Man. Writing on the animated flick comes from Brandon Auman (The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armored Adventures). Here's a quick synopsis:

After Stane unleashes a terrorist attack and sets Tony up to take the fall, Iron Man must evade S.H.I.E.L.D.’s man hunt and find a way to clear his name.
