Kodansha USA announced at New York Comic Con that they'll be expanding their manga offerings with zombie rom-com Sankarea, Makoto Yukimura's (Planetes) Japan Media Arts Award winning viking historical fiction Vinland Saga, the manga adaptation of sci-fi light novel No. 6 and former Tokyopop series Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode.
In other planning news, March 2013, with Fairy Tail vol 24, the serieswill be released once monthly and twice digitally.
A Sailor Moon art book is also planned for 2013.
Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima
Fans have been wishing for Fairy Tail to come out faster, and those wishes are about to be granted! Starting with volume 24 in March 2013, a new volume of Fairy Tail will be released in print every month. But wait, there’s more! Sailor Moon Art Book
Continuing the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Naoko Takeuchi’s manga masterpiece, SAILOR MOON, Kodansha is pleased to announce that The Sailor Moon Art Book will be released simultaneously throughout the world next year.
The Sailor Moon Art Book joins previous announcements about the future of Sailor Moon that include a new anime series, currently planned to debut next year. This new art book will feature Takeuchi’s most popular work selected from five Sailor Moon art books which had been previously published in Japan. It will also include several unpublished original drawings!
The Sailor Moon Art Book will be released in The United States, Japan, and five other countries simultaneously. Each country’s edition will be a trade paperback with dust jacket, in full color, and will have original, special bonus material. The trim size and page count will be identical for all seven releases.
