NIS America Licenses "Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko" Anime

Series to be released under "Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl" title

NIS America announced a new license at its New York Comic Con panel today, with Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko—based on the series of light novels by Hitoma Iruma—joining its anime library under the name Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko features Madoka Magica's Akiyuki Shinbo as chief director and Yukihiro Miyamoto (Arakawa Under the Bridge, Madoka Magica, Maria Holic) as series director, with Yuniko Ayana (a few episodes of Humanity Has Declined) on series composition. The SHAFT-produced series kicks off when Makoto Niwa meets his eccentric cousin, Erio Tōwa, who claims to be an alien and lets Makoto know that Earth has been targeted by extra terrestrials. The 12-episode series originally aired in Japan on TBS from April to July, 2011.
