Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's 1st Album Wins Music Jacket Award 2012

Perfume and Man With A Mission get the second prize

Music Jacket Award 2012, the award for the most excellent CD cover of the year, announced its annual winners today. The grand prize went to "Moshi Moshi Harajuku", the debut mini-album by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, which was released in August 2011. Perfume's 14th single "Spice" and Man With A Mission's 1st album "Man With A Mission" got 2nd prize (Associate Grand Prix). Shiho Nanba's 1st album "Mizuiro Generation" received Special Prize. 

 

The award applies to the music CDs (including foreign artists) which were produced in Japan from April 1st of 2011 to March 31st of 2012. The winners were chosen by general votes at the special site from 50 candidates selected by the regular members of RIAJ (The Recording Industry Association of Japan.) Congratulations, Kyary-chan!
