"One Piece Film Z" to Feature Singer Avril Lavigne

Lavigne's "How You Remind Me" and "Bad Reputation" will be featured in 15th anniversary "One Piece" movie

Depending on your taste in pop music, it's either great news or a case of "be careful what you wish for." Series creator Eiichiro Oda has been involved with upcoming 15th anniversary One Piece Film Z and, in addition to his design and plot input, the result is that the anime movie will feature theme music from singer Avril Lavigne.

The latest issue of the Japanese edition of Shonen Jump reveals that Lavigne's "How You Remind Me" and "Bad Reputation" will be included in Film Z, which opens in Japan December 15th. Oda is promising a movie that rivals blockbuster Strong World in the anime feature which sees would-be pirate king Luffy square off against ex-marine admiral Z.

Lavigne's prior connection to manga includes the two volume 2007 original English language Avril Lavigne's Make 5 Wishes, from Joshua Dysart, Camilla D’Errico and Del Rey Manga.
